Bat Rules
Bat Limits for Hills “Saturday” competitions.
Season 2023/24 Update:
Drop weight limits will no longer be in effect for any age groups, except for the Youth and Cashmore League. The main restriction for each age group will be bat length. Players should choose a length that is appropriate for their stature and playing ability. It’s ok to use a shorter bat length if it suits you! Just don’t go beyond the maximum lengths outlined below. Bat diameter has also been updated for Modball.
Here’s a breakdown of the new bat rules for different ages…
T-ball:
No changes here! T-ball players must continue to use bats with a maximum diameter of 2 1/4″. 8U T-ball maximum length is 28″ and 7U T-ball is 26″
9U Modball – Petroff and Daisley Conference:
Players are now allowed to use bats with a diameter up to 2 5/8″, with a maximum length of 28″.

The maximum bat length for these conferences has been set at 29″, and maximum diameter remains at 2 5/8″.

13 Live pitch – Catt Conferences:
